At Basic American Foods, we believe there’s nothing better than a really great meal. But what makes these meals so great? We think it’s the people who create them— the people in kitchens and dining rooms everywhere who work hard to plan, prep and cook every dish to perfection. The rock star cook who needs to make 300 orders of crispy hashbrowns during the breakfast rush, the dad making a wholesome dinner the whole family will actually eat, the R&D chef that needs the perfect ingredient to make their recipe just right, and the hospital dietitians providing comforting and delicious meals to their patients— they’re all heroes in our eyes.
We want to help the people behind the food cook up even more amazing meals their fans and families will love. We work hard to provide them with foods that are made with real ingredients, are full of flavor, and always easy to prepare for delicious and unforgettable meals.
WE'RE HELPING CREATE A WORLD FULL OF MEALTIME VICTORIES.
Jack Hume founded Basic American Foods in 1933 with the belief that integrity and taste were paramount, and it’s these same beliefs that drive us today. While we started as a modest dehydration plant in California, we’ve grown our company and our capabilities over the last 85 years becoming the market leader, because we want to help people serve great food to as many people as possible. That’s why you’ll find our foods and brands in restaurants, schools, hospitals, grocery, and club stores around the world.
WE BELIEVE THAT KITCHENS AND DINING ROOMS SHOULD BE FILLED WITH FOOD PEOPLE LOVE TO MAKE AND LOVE TO EAT.
We continue to work every day to create new and delicious foods, make updates to our classics that we know people want, like taking out artificial colors and flavors and lowering sodium, and ensure we’re always delivering exactly what our customers are looking for. We believe that kitchens and dining rooms should be filled with food people love to make and love to eat, and that’s exactly why we’re helping create a world full of mealtime victories.
