We’re Making A Shift!

Basic American Foods is pleased to announce that our manufacturing locations in Idaho will soon be moving to straight shifts (days or nights) and away from rotating shifts. This is a major change to our operations that we are confident will have significant benefits for our Idaho employees, including:

• More days off in a row
• A stable, consistent schedule
• Improved employee wellness and safety
• A $2/hour shift differential for those on a night shift, bringing the hourly wage to $16.16/hour for Blackfoot and Shelley employees on night shift and $16.27/hour for Rexburg employees on night shift

Once the schedule change goes into effect in August 2021, production employees will alternate between three workdays one week and four workdays the next week, allowing for four or three days off in a row, respectively.
