Living Our Values – Food Bank Donations

Consistent with our Make Things Better value, Basic American Foods is committed to continuing our long tradition of giving back to the areas where we live, work, and operate. When communities began to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic earlier this year, we were proud to support food banks with additional food donations so that they could, in turn, help families in need.

A few of our larger donations were to the Capital Area Food Bank (Washington, DC), the Stockton Emergency Food Bank (Stockton, California), and the Southern Economic Advancement Project, which supplied the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, Feeding the Valley Food Bank (Central Georgia), and Feeding the Gulf Coast (Florida). These three donations totaled approximately 120,000 lbs., the equivalent of about 2 million servings of food.

We are honored to play a role in providing food banks with delicious and nutritious food to distribute to those in need.
