Living Our Values and Making Things Better!

On Tuesday, May 14, a BAF team from the Walnut Creek, CA office volunteered at The Gardens at Heather Farm, a non-profit dedicated to the upkeep of the beautiful gardens that are open to the community to enjoy. We spent most of our time in the community garden, which is new to Heather Farm this year, shoveling dirt and mulch into wheelbarrows to spread in and around the garden beds.

The mission of The Gardens at Heather Farm is to enrich the community through the beauty and environmental stewardship of their gardens, provide educational programs for adults and children, and offer venues for social and cultural events. The garden maintenance depends largely on volunteers, and it was fun to play a part in beautifying the community!

At BAF, we encourage all salaried employees to take advantage of our Service Day program, which offers a dedicated day off each year to serve others in the community for a cause that is personally meaningful. It’s an important way for us as a company to live our value of “Making Things Better” all-year round!
