COVID-19 Vaccines

Although it has been a challenging past year for us all, we are hopeful that the end of the COVID-19 pandemic will be here soon. We all have the responsibility to help beat COVID-19, and we are confident that the safe and effective vaccines now available are the best tools for us to use to achieve that.

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting COVID-19 vaccination clinics for our employees at each of our Idaho, Washington, and Illinois plant locations. Our vaccine incentive program offers a $75 bonus to employees vaccinated either at our on-site clinic or at the provider of their choice. Thank you to Jennifer Anderson, our Vice President, General Counsel, for her extraordinary efforts in bringing our vaccination clinics on-site, as they are significant events that require substantial direction and organization.

As an essential employer involved in producing food for foodservice and retail customers worldwide, our employees’ safety, our food, and our communities are top priorities. We will continue to monitor COVID-19 and make decisions that best safeguard our employees’ and communities’ health and safety. Basic American Foods commits to sustaining all tools we have available to stop the pandemic as long as necessary, including:

• Requiring employees who can work from home to do so
• Restricting all non-essential visitors to our facilities
• Restricting travel between our facilities
• Ensuring that our employees have the proper personal protective equipment
• Carrying out enhanced sanitation measures, including frequent cleanings in our manufacturing facilities and offices

We all play a part in ending the COVID-19 pandemic, so we encourage everyone to get their COVID-19 vaccination as soon as they are eligible.
