Sour Cream & Chives Mashed Potatoes


1  carton Potato Pearls® Extra Rich Mashed Potatoes
1  Tbsp Salt
1/2  tsp Garlic Powder
1  gal Boiling water (190°-212°F)
1/2  cup Chives, fresh, chopped (or 1/2 amount dry chives)
1/4  cup Buttermilk Powder
1  tsp Onion Powder
1/4  tsp Cayenne Pepper
2  cups Sour Cream


  1. Combine mashed potatoes and first 6 ingredients.
  2. Quickly whisk potato mixture into boiling water; remove from heat. Continue whisking until potatoes are smooth.
  3. Add remaining ingredients; mix until well blended.
  4. Keep warm until serving.
  5. Serving Idea: Serve with grilled sausage and sautéed apples.
