Hummus Three Ways

Ingredients

  FOR HUMMUS BASE
12  oz Santiago® Smart Servings™ Low Sodium Vegetarian Refried Beans, prepared
1  Tbsp Peanut Butter
1  Tbsp Lime juice, fresh
1  tsp Garlic, minced
1/2  tsp Salt
1/8  tsp Hot pepper sauce (like Tabasco®)
1  Tbsp Red chili adobo flavor concentrate (like Minor's®)-FOR VARIATION 2 ONLY.
1  Tbsp Cilantro lime flavor concentrate (like Minor's®) - FOR VARIATION 3 ONLY.

Instructions

  1. Prepare Santiago® Smart Servings™ Low Sodium Vegetarian Refried Beans according to package directions. Measure 12 oz refried beans and reserve the remaining for another use.
  2. Add all base hummus ingredients to Santiago® Refried Beans and blend together thoroughly until smooth.
  3. FOR VARIATION 2- Blend the red chili adobo flavor concentrate into the base hummus.
  4. FOR VARIATION 3-Blend the Cilantro lime flavor concentrate into the base hummus.
