Cumin Scented “Drunken” Pinto Beans
A fragrant, flavorful bean dish. Serve along side a plate of roasted
vegetables or as a side for beef or chicken fajitas.

| Santiago® Seasoned Refried Beans | 1 pouch | Place dry seasoned refried beans into a 1/2 size 4 inch deep steamtable pan. |
| Beer - stout or lager style | 12 oz. | |
| Coffee - brewed strong | 4 oz. | |
| Water | 3 pt. | |
| Spanish onions - small dice, caramelized | 1/3 cup | |
| Ground Cumin | 1 tsp. | Heat water, beer, and coffee to a boil. Add onions and cumin and mix well. |
| Pour over dry beans, mix to blend thoroughly, cover, place in steamtable. Allow to refresh 30 minutes. Stir prior to serving. | ||
| Optional—Hot sauce to taste and shredded Cheese for garnish | Served topped with a splash of hot sauce and shredded Monterey Jack, Pepper Jack, or shredded Cheddar cheese. |
