Ladle chili over french fries for a quick and easy classic.
Make normal nachos more festive by serving them with chili, cheese, tomatoes, green onions, and sour cream.

Use as a base for black bean soup. Change the ethnic profile by adding different seasonings—Cajun, jerk, Mexican, etc.
Asian Wrap. Layer a large tortilla with Chinese-style stir-fry vegetables, prepared black beans, rice, and oriental sauce. Wrap and serve as vegetarian, or add seasoned shrimp, pork, beef, or chicken.
Crunchy Beef Wrap. In a large flour tortilla, layer black beans, rice, shredded beef in barbecue sauce, green onion, carrots, and cucumbers. Top with salsa.
Ranch Tostada. Stir ranch dressing into prepared black beans. Serve on a crisp flat tortilla with shredded chicken, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and guacamole. Garnish with grilled chicken or beef strips.
Vegetable Stuffers. Stuff prepared black beans into sautéed mushroom caps, potato skins, or steamed zucchini boats.
Seafood Soft Tacos. Fill a corn or flour tortilla with grilled or fried fish chunks, shredded cabbage, prepared black beans, and hot sauce.

Turkey Mole Wrap. Blend the traditional mole mixture (chiles, herbs, and a hint of chocolate) with turkey, rice, and refried beans. Wrap in a tortilla.
Vegetarian Wrap con Salsa. Wrap up tomatoes, peppers, green chiles, corn, refried beans, rice, and salsa.
Beans con Queso. Mix prepared refried beans with sautéed onion and shredded Monterey Jack cheese. Serve as side dish or dip.

Breakfast Burritos. Fill a warm flour tortilla with prepared refried beans, eggs, sausage or chorizo, and hashbrowns. Top with salsa and shredded cheese.
Huevos Rancheros. Serve eggs sunnyside up on a bed of refried beans. Cover with enchilada sauce and shredded cheese. Top with strips of green chiles and serve with tortilla chips.
Celebration Tacos. Fill a hot corn tortilla with taco sauce, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, and your choice of chicken, beef, seafood, pork, or chorizo. Top with shredded cheese.
Mexican Potato Skins. Serve potato skins filled with refried beans, diced green chiles, and chopped bacon. Top with salsa and sour cream.
Fiesta Nachos. Cover a plate of tortilla chips with refried beans, strips of green chiles, picante sauce, and shredded cheese. Heat until cheese melts.
Outrageous Quesadillas. Place refried beans, green chile strips, shredded chicken, and shredded cheese on a large flour tortilla. Heat and serve topped with sour cream.
