Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
Summary Responsible for implementing and executing all aspects of financial planning, analysis and forecasting for assigned markets by working with market VPs and their staff. Providing visibility and accountability to business owners through forecasting and reporting of actual vs. plan results; develop reporting/tracking tools and financial modeling that aid executive management business decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute financial planning processes for assigned markets by working with sales and marketing management to develop and communicate budgets and forecasts – provide detailed variance analysis with commentary; manage and conduct market budget review meetings; present information to the market VP and executive staff; analyze trends and variances to plan.
2. Execute and monitor monthly analysis and forecast updates – incorporate input from management team; present and summarize forecast, assumptions, and variances of plan vs. actual results with senior management.
3. Provide analysis for business decisions with detailed financial models incorporating assumptions, expectations and known risks; prepare presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations; interact with assigned market to obtain necessary information to facilitate meaningful analysis and decision making; participate in business case presentations to senior and executive management.

Must maintain the highest standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data which will ensure accuracy and in turn, maximize the use of data and confidence in decision making.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's of Business Administration degree (M.B.A.) preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, knowledge of Hyperion, Essbase Accounting software is preferred. Adage experience preferred. Strong Excel skills required. PowerPoint presentation for executive summary of results and variances desired.
Other Qualifications
Travel – up to 40% of the time.
