National Accounts Manager, Foodservice Management Companies
Summary
Planning and implementing the sale of products to foodservice management companies at headquarter and national level. Achieving assigned sales volume with support of Marketing and Field Sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Attain sales volume objectives by working closely with the FMC accounts and Field Sales to increase volume and improve product penetration in FMC accounts.
2. Develop strong working relationships with customers through personal sales calls, participation in association events, shows, and entertainment.
3. Understand and work through customer contracts. Develop strategies that will grow business and put BAF in the best position to renew contracts as they come up for renewal.
4. Develop Sales Action Plan to be executed by Field Sales. Train and assist Field Sales with execution of Sales Action Plan.
5. Track customer volume and work closely with Trade/Spend Department on billing issues.
6. Work closely with Marketing and the Technology Group to provide customer requirements and assist in developing a plan to meet them.

Must maintain the highest standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data which will ensure accuracy and in turn, maximize the use of data and confidence in decision making.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with and managing Food Management Company business is required.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to thoroughly understand contracts and negotiate their terms. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Individual must be skilled at managing data and reports.
