Systems Analyst VI / Database Administrator
The Systems Analyst VI position is accountable for identifying, designing, and implementing cost effective solutions with minimal direction from superiors insuring compliance with the company's business and technical objectives. Including but not limited to supporting the day to day business needs of the company through existing application systems and integrating new information systems that improve the company's service to its customers and its internal productivity. Works with management team to define critical business processes and develop and maintain technical support methodologies.
§ Define the applications requirements by gathering and analyzing information and documenting the current business process.
§ Design and specify systems that effectively meet business requirements, the methods for installing them, and assist in their implementation.
§ Promote the redesign of processes and continuous improvement through the facilitation of business reengineering methodology.
§ Evaluate operational systems and recommend improvements.
§ Devise data verification methods and standard system support and recovery procedures.
§ Develop and maintains modeling and workflow methodologies.
There are two tracks Technical Programmer/Analyst and Business Intelligence data analyst/ modeler.

Assess overall technical requirements for information systems and manage vendors to complete implementations of application software

Perform the activities necessary to support the standardization of attribute/entity definition, naming convention, domain values, entity relationships and data flows

Review database objects and reports for potential performance issues and coordinate report development and deployment

Collaborate with Database Administrator to establish corporate data architecture; perform lead role for data modeling staff; design, setup and maintain multi-dimensional schemas

Demonstrated ability to assess overall technical requirements for information systems and manage vendors to complete implementations of application software

Work with management to define critical processes; develop, update and adhere to standard modeling methodologies

Work with Data Governance Council to ensure the enterprise-wide data architecture follows and supports the corporate business direction

Collaborate with Data Governance Council and/or business owners to ensure that requirements and/or data models align with corporate direction (OGSMs)
|
|
Work with IT management to ensure new technologies are cost effective and mainstream; review proposed new methodologies to ensure proper fit with architectures and company objectives

Collaborate with management to prepare and implement user-targeted training to enable modelers and users to efficiently collaborate in business analytics projects.

Ensure shop standards are being followed by facilitating and participating in Walkthroughs. Provide recommendations for shop standards
|
Review queries, dashboards, and reports for potential performance issues and coordinate report development and deployment
|
Database Administrator
Responsible for providing technical and architectural leadership for enterprise data warehouse systems. Key responsibilities include establishing and implementing data warehouse standards and procedures; creating data architecture design; analyzing the data infrastructure; reporting design and delivery; and designing, developing and implementing the ETL, Data model, and OLAP cubes. Additionally, this role will provide direction for junior level Data Warehouse Analysts.
- Experience with star schema data warehouse and business modeling techniques
- Knowledge and experience with ETL (Informatica PowerCenter desired, DTS, Integration services, and stored procedures is acceptable)
- Experience with Microsoft Analysis Services and Reporting Services is a plus
- Experience migrating from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 is a requirement
§ Analytical

Qualifications
§ Education and/or Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years applicable work experience or equivalent, a college or technical degree and food processing/manufacturing experience is desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure of time constraints and to prioritize according to organizational objectives.
- Proven ability to deliver effectively in a dynamic environment. Able to demonstrate leadership skills by managing a team. Must possess strong time management skills.
- A sound sense of business and technical strategy is required to envision a cost effective, mainstream, architectural approach
- Must possess a solid understanding of all of the phases of the software development life cycle.
Technical Programmer/Analyst
§ Solid experience with multi-tier applications environments and system integration technologies.
§ Ability to understand, define, and design technical solutions based on business requirements.
§ Ability to deploy and support commercially available off-the-shelf solutions or packaged applications
§ The individual must demonstrate proficiency and ability to learn the following skills:
§ Programming using 4th generation language environments, such as Visual Studio.
§ Database development (both relational and multi-dimensional)
§ Web-based development
§ Object-oriented design and programming
§ Client/server programming
Database Administrator
§ A minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct experience in Data Warehouse management
§ A minimum of 5 years as a Database Administrator
§ In-depth knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL Sever (2000 is a must, 2005 is favored)
§ Knowledge of Oracle database environment
Business Intelligence analyst/ data modeler
§ Solid experience in the development of processes to integrate data from source systems to a central repository, such as an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), as well as, experience developing processes to deliver data to business data marts or extracts from EDW.
§ Solid experience in developing processes to deliver data to business data marts or extracts from an EDW with a focus on user accessibility via Business Intelligence tools.
§ Complex query development
§ Relational database development, such as Query Analyzer, and Enterprise Manager
§ Solid experience with Crystal Reports and Crystal Enterprise
§ Solid experience Hyperion Interactive Reporting (BRIO) and Dashboard development
§ Computer/Technology Skills:
Must possess a superior working knowledge including but not limited to the following: (at least 3)
§ Microsoft Visual Basic .NET (Currently available, or current -1 version)
§ Computer Associates OpenRoad development environment
§ SQL language (preferably Transact SQL) for Microsoft SQL Server database.
§ VB or Java Script, JAVA, HTML and XML
§ MDX (Multidimensional Expression in MAS)
§ Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tool (preferably Informatica’s PowerCenter)
§ Data Modeling tool (preferably Embarcadero’s ERStudio)
Ability to navigate through business process software packages and possess a solid understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning, Supply Chain Planning systems, and/or understanding of SCADA, MMI, PLC ladder logic and process floor systems.

§ Physical Demands:
